Psychotherapy
Mag. Tobias KleinMag. Klein PsychotherapyRoom for what happens between us.
Whether you come alone or as a couple: we look at relationships, patterns and strengths – and find new ways together that work in everyday life.
Our guiding principle
Problems rarely arise in one person alone. Neither do solutions.
What we offer
Support that fits you
Talking, assessment and counselling – confidential and at your own pace.
Book a first sessionIndividual therapy
For crises, anxiety, low mood or when something in your life needs to change fundamentally.
Couples therapy
When arguments go round in circles, closeness is missing or a decision lies ahead – we make room for both perspectives.
Family sessions
For conflicts between generations, after separations or in blended families – with everyone who wants to take part.
Support through life transitions
Becoming a parent, changing jobs, retiring or moving: changes that take energy and call for new direction.
Online therapy
Sessions via encrypted video – also for couples who live in different places.
Our approach
Working systemically – what does that mean?
We look not only at the problem but at the web of relationships it arises in – and at the resources that are already there.
Focus on relationships
Using a genogram or figures on a board we make visible who belongs to your system and how it interacts.
Building on strengths
We ask not only what is going wrong but also what is already working – and build on that.
Solution-focused
Small, concrete experiments between sessions help you try out new patterns in everyday life.
Even-handed
In couple and family sessions I take no sides – every voice is heard.
About us
My path to systemic therapy
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked in youth and family services in Graz. There I saw how closely our wellbeing is tied to the people around us.
In my practice in central Graz I work with individuals and couples. I work respectfully, with curiosity and without ready-made answers – you are the experts on your own life.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can't find your question? Feel free to give us a call.
+43 316 82 45 17- What does psychotherapy cost and what does insurance pay?
- An individual session costs €100, a couple session €140. After a medical check-up before the second session you receive a partial refund from your public insurer. Some supplementary insurances cover more.
- Is what I say confidential?
- Yes. In Austria psychotherapists are bound by a particularly strict duty of confidentiality. No one learns anything without your consent – not even your insurer learns what we talk about.
- Does my partner have to come to couples therapy?
- Ideally yes. If your partner doesn't want to come (yet), we can also work on the relationship in individual sessions.
- How long does therapy take?
- It varies a lot. Some concerns are resolved in a few sessions, others take longer. We regularly review where you are, and you decide when to stop.
- Psychotherapist, psychologist or psychiatrist – what's the difference?
- Psychotherapists have several years of training in a therapy method and often work with clients over a longer period. Clinical psychologists specialise in assessment and shorter treatments. Psychiatrists are medical doctors and prescribe medication if needed. The three often work well together.
- How soon can I get an appointment?
- Usually within two to three weeks for a first session. In an acute crisis you can reach the Telefonseelsorge helpline (142) or emergency services (144) around the clock.
